MPPSC Prelims 2023 General Studies Paper -1 Practice MCQs: On September 5th, 2023, the Madhya Pradesh Service Commission released a new notification regarding the MPPSC (Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission) State Service Exam. This examination is conducted to fill various positions within government agencies and offices in the state of Madhya Pradesh. MPPSC Prelims 2023 General Studies Paper 1

The MPPSC Prelims examination will be conducted on December 17, 2023, and the admit card will be released on December 8. MPPSC PCS Recruitment 2023: This recruitment drive is being conducted to fill 229 posts.

For the Prelims exam, the aspirants must solve Mock Test as many as while preparing for the exam. The aspirants must check the previous year question papers to know the level of exam. While preparation, the candidates must make notes so that they can revise the notes a few days before the exam.

MPPSC Prelims 2023 Preparation Tips

The State Civil Service exam is not very different from the National Civil Service in terms of the syllabus and subject covered. The only minor difference is noted in the question paper where state-based questions are asked more frequently. The following are the different subjects important for the exam and generic preparation tips related to them:

History

This subject is further divided into three parts:

Ancient

Medieval

Modern

Comparing the syllabus to other State Civil Service exams and IAS, it is more or less the same. Therefore it is advised to go thoroughly with the NCERT books.

Several points to hold in mind while preparing for MPPSC History

  • Prepare a sheet for important dates and events.
  • Noting down things in chronological order benefits a lot in reemerging.

Indian Polity

Weightage is delivered to subjects like Parliament, State, and Central Legislatures, Panchayati Raj, Legislative Bills in the news or debate, Election Commission, etc. To understand Polity crisply, one can follow the book Indian Polity by M. Laxmikanth. Watching the news and staying updated with current affairs will also be beneficial in longer terms.

Indian Economy

This subject itself is quite vast. However, the majority of the questions asked from this topic are categorized under the generalized form. Yes, candidates should also keep in mind that, unlike IAS exams, a few factual questions can be asked. For that, one should be definite about the fundamental concepts like GDP, GNP, and PCI. Topics like- Repo Rate, MCLR, CRR, Unemployment, Recession, Rupee Depreciation/Appreciation, etc. are categorized under most frequently asked topics and therefore should be prioritized.

General Science
